Enis Sakirgil, a Turkish Christian, got involved in the Christian Movie industry unintentionally when he helped to finance a documentary made in Turkey by Turkish Christians about the life of the Apostle Paul.  

A doctor by trade, Dr Sakirgil  relocated to the US in hopes of being trained in Family Medicine. While there, he began looking for new avenues to sell the film “The Apostle Paul and the Earliest Churches.”  He started spending his spare time learning the basics of e-commerce in order to get this film to a wider audience and provide for his family during medical school.  

Impressed by his success, the film’s manufacturer asked Dr Sakirgil to sell some of it's other Christian films.  As Enis branched out into more and more DVD sales, Lukas Media was born in 2003 as a family-based business focused on selling the best in Christian Movies.  

The key focuses of Lukas Media are their retail website FamilyChristianMovies.com and distributing DVDs to Christian bookstores, online retailers and church bookstores. The distribution arm is growing rapidly and Lukas Media has taken on the role of distributor for a number of Christian films and  DVD sets.   In 2009 Lukas Media launched a line of gift items imported from Turkey (ColossianMiniRugs.com.)

Much has changed at Lukas Media since those early days, but certain things remain the same.  We are still a humble company, seeking to glorify God, provide for the families of our employees and to serve the Turkish Church.
